Non-Profit Activities

In addition to evaluation activities, ILC Africa carries out special projects in support of development in Africa.

At this time, we are focusing on the following special initiatives:

iREAD Ghana Study - Education Pilot Program

ILC Africa serves as the monitoring and evaluation advisory team for the iREAD Ghana Study, a USAID-funded pilot study that aims to give Ghanaian public school students access to books through e-reader technology. Throughout the duration of the project, ILC Africa regularly collected monitoring data from 500 project-affected persons to provide USAID with monthly reports. Additionally, ILC Africa conducted the baseline, mid-term, and final evaluations.

ILC Africa Fellowship Program

ILC Africa's Fellowship Program builds the capacity of recent college graduates to engage in development projects. ILC Africa recruits, selects, supports, and mentors fellows to come to Ghana and greater West Africa to execute tasks within project teams. The fellowship program provides young graduates with practical, on-the-ground experience and leadership skills to work in international settings. ILC Africa guides fellows to design actionable work plans, implement activities, and measure progress against targets. Since the inception of the fellowship program, ILC Africa has developed a passionate cadre of young leaders who developed initiative and a sense of innovation while on the job. These attributes have helped our young leaders to subsequently contribute to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals.

ShareFair - Networking Local and International Development Partners

The ShareFair is an annual event that brings together different actors in the development sector of Ghana and West Africa. ShareFair 2012 will promote collaboration of information and data between small and large international development organizations both locally and internationally operated.

CheckME Medical Mobile Outreach Units

The CheckME program serves as a full-scale medical clinic 'on-wheels' through a large refurbished bus. The CheckME bus offers the amenities of a general health clinic, yet travels to hard-to-reach communities.

Mum-n-Me Birthing Centers for Improved Maternal and Child Health

The Mum-n-Me initiative provides safe maternal and child health services through small, low-cost birthing centers.

University Admissions Program - Educational Advising Services

ILC Africa offers educational advising services that build a professional cadre of African leaders through academic excellence.
